It gives me great pleasure to share a few words about PGIMS in my capacity as the Medical Officer of Health.
The General Hospital in Vashi has been serving the community for over 25 years, while Maasaheb Meenatai Thackeray Hospital in Nerul has been providing quality care for more than 15 years. Both hospitals offer compassionate care to the needy and underserved, as well as patients from all walks of life across Navi Mumbai and nearby areas, including Thane, Raigad district, Ulwe, Uran nodes, and the outskirts of Greater Mumbai.
The establishment of PGIMS further strengthens our commitment to delivering exceptional, state-of-the-art medical care to all patients. The institute is equipped with advanced facilities such as modular operation theatres, an ART centre, dialysis services, a thalassemia day care unit, and numerous national health programs, all of which will provide postgraduate students with valuable hands-on experience.
In the future, we aim to introduce postgraduate courses in various specialties, further enhancing the institute’s academic offerings. Students at PGIMS will not only benefit from exposure to a wide range of clinical cases but also receive excellent academic support from our dedicated faculty.
I extend my best wishes to all the future postgraduate students of PGIMS, who will emerge as skilled, compassionate medical professionals dedicated to serving humanity.
